Burglar Resistance to RC3 — with fire performance built in.
The DS RC3 doorset carries burglar resistance to EN 1627 Resistance Class 3, tested at assembled doorset level, both sides — and combines it with EI2 60 fire resistance. One steel leaf, one set of paperwork. Made-to-measure and precision-manufactured to your opening, within the tested and certified field of application.
SECURITY - RC3 TO EN 1627
Resistance Class 3 is the burglar-resistance grade specified where a determined intruder with hand tools and a crowbar is the threat model — the level typically required for plant rooms, data halls, cash-handling areas and restricted access points. The DS RC3 doorset is tested to RC3 at assembled doorset level, and resists attack from both sides.
RC3 is certified on the assembled doorset — leaf, frame, hardware and locking as a tested system. Every doorset is made-to-measure within the certified field of application.
FIRE - EI1 30 / EI2 60, BUILT IN
Security rarely stands alone. The DS RC3 doorset carries fire classification in the same leaf — EI1 30 and EI2 60 to EN 13501-2 — so a single doorset satisfies both the security schedule and the fire strategy. No second door, no compromise, one evidence trail.

Note: RC3 with fire rating and a declared thermal U-value cannot all coexist in a single leaf. The DS RC3 leads on security and fire; where a thermal figure is also required, we’ll advise the right specification route.
LOCKING & GLAZING
The RC3 rating is delivered as a system — the multipoint locking is integral to the certification, not an add-on. Optional vision glazing is available within the tested limits.
